The motel was originally known as the Charlroy Manor when it was built by my grandparents in 1948. They named their new hotel after their two sons, Charles and Roy. In 1968 and 1972, the family expanded the motel to its present size and converted the original rooms. The third and fourth generation owners, Cheryl and Jesse, are ever present to welcome you to your home away from home. The Charlroy has a distinct reputation of catering to families and couples on “the quiet side of town” in Seaside Park. We have many families that have been returning to the Charlroy year after year for several decades. Why not start your own tradition by booking a stay at the Charlroy, where you are conveniently located across the street from the beach and a block away from the boardwalk? We would love for you to become part of the extended Charlroy family and make your own memories and traditions to last a lifetime!
